As soon as the offer went out, a commitment wasn’t far behind. Three-star running back Keyante Green has committed to UCLA.
The Bruins have been working hard in the state of Georgia and have made a big splash early on. The first commitment in the class of 2013 for UCLA was four-star quarterback Eddie Printz. The Bruins have now followed that commitment up with the commitment of three-star running back Keyante Green.
Green confirmed the commitment on twitter and over text to 247Sports.
Green hails from McDonough (Ga.) Eagle’s Landing Christian and holds offers from around the country. He chose the Bruins over offers from the likes of Florida State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina and Georgia.
Eagle’s Landing Christian Head Coach Jonathan Guess thinks that the Bruins are getting a leader in Green.
“Keyante’s a great kid,” Guess said. “He works really hard and he’s a leader. He’s got all the tools and he’s going to be successful.”
The quarterback's take: Eddie Printz was a teammate of Green's at the Rising Senior Bowl in Georgia this December. He had high praise for Green's work ethic.
"Keyante was one of the hardest working kids I met at the Rising Senior Bowl," Printz said. "He would be a great teammate at UCLA."
