Sykes said he may still consider Oregon and Oklahoma.
The Bruins snared another major commitment tonight when Gilbert (Ariz.) Chandler receiver Dionte Sykes made the call.
Yesterday the Bruins offered the 6-foot-4, 205-pound prep who wasted little time thinking things over.
"My whole family already knew that an offer was likely to happen and when it did that was going to be game over," Sykes said. "UCLA has the best coaching staff in the country in my opinion at least. I've known coach (Eric) Yarber since I was in fifth grade. I've also known Brett Hundley for a long time too. This was just an easy choice for me."
Sykes said despite the commitment he may still take some other visits.
"Oregon and Oklahoma are really the only two schools that I'll even consider. I may try and take some visits this Fall but I'm pretty set on UCLA. Even the coaches knew it was coming. They weren't real surprised when I committed today."
The three-star recruit said he plans on recruiting other top Arizona preps to UCLA.
"I'm going to be working on Tyler Whiley, Kyle Allen, Natrell Curtis and those guys. I know my quarterback Bryce Perkins (2015 recruit) has an ey eon UCLA too. Hopefully we can all get over there together."
