Jones said he still plans to take other trips.
UCLA may have lost this weekend but they got a win in the recruiting world. The Bruins scored a verbal commitment from the nation's No. 49 overall player, Aliz'e Jones, per the 247Sports Composite.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound prep is one of the elite playmakers at his position. His dad and his uncle have been huge fans of the Bruins since before they offered. The family was happy at the decision by the class of 2015 4-star.
"I went to the game yesterday and I just knew," Jones said. "I just really enjoyed my stay and the offense and the coaches. There are lots of great programs but UCLA was it for me. I have built a great relationship with coach (Noel) Mazzone and the other coaches. My dad was real excited when I made my decision, but he already kind of knew."
Jones said despite the commitment he still plans to take some other visits. A few schools he said he plans to visit include: ASU, Georgia, Tennessee and USC.
"I'll take some visits in the future and see some other schools. My recruiting process is not 100-percent closed. We'll see what happens but I definitely feel like a Bruin."
The 4-star is the first and only commit in the 2015 class for UCLA.
