UCLA lands Lewis

Four-star athlete Jaason Lewis visited UCLA over the weekend.

Jaason Lewis could play both ways for the Bruins.

It was all he needed to see as the Virginia Beach (VA) Ocean Lakes standout verbally committed to the Bruins this morning.

“I felt most comfortable there,” Lewis told 247Sports Tuesday morning. “They met my standards.”

The Composite No. 101 overall prospect in the nation chose the Bruins over offers from Arizona State, Tennessee, Florida, Florida State and many others.

“They are a mind-blowing school,” Lewis said.

As a junior, Lewis recorded four interceptions and seven tackles for loss at safety.

On offense, Lewis rushed for 515 yards and eight touchdowns and caught 33 passes for 498 yards and six scores.

247Sports Composite has Lewis ranked as the nation’s No. 9 athlete and the No. 8 prospect in Virginia in the 2015 class.

Bruin247 will have more with Lewis later today.
