per the LA Times
If you look back to the LINEMEN CLASS of 2009
Nik Abele – neck injury ( I thought he was going to be great)
Sua Fil’o -- faith-based sabbatical; playing like an all-american now.
Ryan Taylor - never excelled though a solid backup.
Eddie Williams – fractured ankle – but finished out his career.
Greg Capella - concussions. --- (missed last season; medical retirement)
Stan Hasiak - anger management issues; academic struggles.
This is why we must recruit 5 or 6 linemen every season. Sua Fil'o is the only one who really panned out and he was gone for two seasons. You can never have enough offensive linemen.

You win the game in the trenches......you never have enough OL's & DL's!!!
Risk outweighed the reward, apparently.
Saw this coming last season. Going that long and still having clear concussive symptoms was not encouraging. He will go on to great success in life, with a UCLA degree and the discipline learned from being a successful D1 athlete.
That being said, those fans questioning the large number of OL recruits aren't paying attention to the attrition rate.
Bruins have a stockpile of freshmen lineman. Could thing, apparently.
