Okay, so who's been to Spring Ball and what have you seen? Coach Mora pouring praise on Malcolm Jones, saying Malcolm has to play angry to be his best.
Coach meets the media.

Jones is going to be buried on the depth chart, in my opinion. Same old story.
He will get his shot. It's up to him to warn the time. He's the only big power back UCLA has, but he has to run like it to see the field.
MJ has looked okay in practice and deserves reps in a depleted running back corps. However, IMO he faces the same problem he had prior to leaving the team last fall... IMO Mazzone prefers smaller quicker backs who run better in space.
It seems to me that the coaches appreciate his return and he will get "chances" to run with ball. I saw MJ play in high school and he was amazing. He is most definitely a talent but the question nucleates around his "fit" within Mazzone's offensive framework. If he maintains a positive attitude and makes the most of his "chances" I think he will be the "feel good" story of the fall.
My other questions regarding relate to his academic standing, athletic eligibility (will he get a redshirt for last season or should he redshirt this season?)

He took some snaps last year. Not many, however. Imagine that the Bruins will petition for a redshirt.
He was in on 6 plays in the 1st game. Coach Mora said UCLA will petition, but haven't done so yet.
Malcolm runs TOO HIGH!!! Had to get his pad level lower to make an impact....
In terms of playing time, think Jones could be on the outside looking in this season.
